Cultivating her unique elegant style over the past 25 years in Europe and New England, founder Yvette Viard has realized her childhood dream of running her own flower shop.

A native of France, Yvette grew up in a small village outside of Paris surrounded by woods and beautiful wildflowers.

She realized her love early on, as she grew up picking flowers in the fields and making wreaths and bouquets. She later studied in the leading floral design schools in France focusing on bridal bouquets, wedding, funeral, and Ikebana, the art of Japanese floral design. In the early eighties, Yvette moved to New England and joined Winston Flowers on Newbury Street, ultimately becoming Head Designer for their Chestnut Hill Mall store.

Yvette founded Charlotte Design in 1994 to unleash her creative expression and focus on private parties and custom weddings, including collaboration with party planner Carol Silverson of The Original Touch. Her creations have been seen at The Copley Plaza, The Ritz Carlton, The Four Seasons, The Sonesta Hotel, The Gamble Mansion, Symphony Hall, Bradley Estate and many more locations. Her work was featured in Victoria Magazine.
