About Yvette Viard
Founder and Master Floral Designer, Charlotte Design
A Legacy in European Floral Design and Couture-style Innovation
Paris, the city of light and love, is the home of Yvette Viard.
Yvette Viard, Master Floral Designer, was born in France and studied at the prestigious Chambre de Syndicate des Fleuristes d’lle de France concentrating on bridal bouquets and wedding arrangements, and Conseil Flore Association in Normandy focusing on Ikebana, the art of Japanese floral design. For the last 30 years, Yvette has travelled the world and has synthesized all these influences into a distinctive elegant aesthetic whole. Her designs are individual with a devoted attention to detail.
Yvette’s European creations are seen in the finest hotels including The Ritz-Carlton, the Four Seasons, and the Boston Harbor Hotel; admired in world-class museums including the Fine Arts Museum and the Museum of Science Boston; seen in venues throughout the region including Macy’s Bouquet of the Day Event and Fenway Park, and featured in Victoria Magazine and The Knot.

In the French manner, Yvette places a great premium on couture-style techniques. For her clients and her clients’ guests, Yvette’s elegant floral arrangements are the ones that are known to heighten the emotional intensity and the visual impact of their event. Yvette was instrumental in bringing the exquisite French techniques of floral design to the Boston area. At Winston Flowers, the first to import flowers directly from Europe, Yvette had access to these flowers and ultimately became the Head Designer for their Chestnut Hill store. In 1994, Yvette opened Charlotte Design, her own business where she could give more individual attention to her client’s needs. Charlotte Design was voted Best of Weddings in 2011 and 2012 by The Knot.
